Scotland

Outdoors

I took up hiking on both sides of the border in about 2000 with friends and then a walking group when I moved to the Scottish / English border in 1999. I really wish I had begun recording the beautiful walks I did in the Borders earlier but people took far fewer photos then. I have also done some outdoor conservation work in Perthshire to give something back for many pleasurable visits to Scotland. After living for 10 years on the border, I moved to Edinburgh in 2018.

On the Scottish side I have walked the Borders Abbeys Way, the St Cuthbert’s way, the Berwickshire Coastal Path, the Speyside Way and the Pennine Way. Shorter trips have included parts of the Cateran Trail and the Rob Roy Way.

Scotland walks Playlist

I started recording my walks on video in 2012 to share the beauty of the walks with others. Above is a link to a playlist of my recent walks in Scotland. I have added a few walks which cross onto both sides of the border which makes them difficult to categorise.
